C&M Precision Tech in Hudson, NH is seeking a Lead CNC Machinist to guide a small 2nd-shift team and mentor peers on lathe and mill-turn operations. You will perform setups, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the highest quality of precision components for defense, aerospace, medical and industrial sectors.

This hands-on role offers a 4-day workweek, competitive pay up to $93,000/year, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5 years of CNC Machinist experience and setup experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and mentor other machinists.
• Lead and mentor 2nd-shift operators.
• Work on precision components for defense, aerospace, medical, and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support and mentorship to 2nd-shift CNC operators in Lathe/Mill-Turn area or Swiss area.
• Perform CNC setups, operate equipment, troubleshoot machining, tooling, and production issues.
• Serve as the technical go-to resource for operators, assisting with setup verification, tooling selection, and process adjustments.
• Help operators develop their machining, setup, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Monitor quality and production to ensure components meet customer specifications, tight tolerances, and delivery requirements.
• Operate and support Mill-Turn equipment across a variety of metals and plastics.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, repeatability, and workflow.
• Communicate technical, quality, and equipment issues while promoting a safe, collaborative, and accountable environment.
• Take on increasing mentoring and technical leadership responsibilities as the team grows.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on technical support and mentorship to 2nd-shift CNC operators in the Lathe/Mill-Turn area or Swiss area.
• Perform CNC setups, operate equipment, and troubleshoot machining, tooling, and production issues.

• Take on increasing mentoring and technical leadership responsibilities as the team continues to grow.
