Jobot in Sidney, Ohio is seeking an Overnight CNC Set-Up Machinist for aerospace precision manufacturing. The role requires setting up and operating multi-axis CNC turning and milling machines, reading blueprints with GD&T, and performing first article inspections.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of CNC multi-axis turning or milling experience with full setup.
• Experience in aerospace or precision component manufacturing.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
• Ability to independently set up and run complex machining jobs.
• Experience performing first article and in-process inspections.
• ERP systems experience for production documentation.
• Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multi-axis CNC turning and milling machines with minimal supervision.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and operation sheets, including GD&T.
• Perform first piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and dial gauges.
• Hold tight tolerances in complex precision machining environments.
• Document inspection results and job data within the ERP system.
• Follow all quality procedures related to machine setup, inspection, documentation, and material handling.
• Troubleshoot machining processes and make necessary adjustments.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications – Needed

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 4pm-4:30am Sunday-Thursday Schedule
• Minimum 3–5 years of CNC multi-axis turning or milling experience including full set-up and troubleshooting
• Experience in aerospace or precision component manufacturing preferred
• Strong background in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation
• Proven ability to independently set up and run complex machining jobs
• Experience performing first article and in-process inspections
• Familiarity with ERP systems for production documentation
• Lean Manufacturing experience a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude
