Job description

Join to apply for the CNC Machinist III role at Engineered Medical Systems, LLC.

The CNC Machinist III will operate, set up, and program jobs on CNC equipment (including Mills, Lathes, Swiss, EDM, and mill-turn) to manufacture medical components from raw materials. The role requires expertise in a specific type of equipment or proficiency across multiple types.

Responsibilities
  1. Create programs for CNC equipment using CAD/CAM software.
  2. Develop CNC machining processes by selecting tools, speeds, and feeds.
  3. Set up and operate machines.
  4. Interpret blueprints, including GD&T.
  5. Partner with Engineering Team.
  6. Design fixtures, tools, and jigs as needed.
  7. Troubleshoot machining issues effectively.
  8. Inspect products as per inspection plans and deburr parts if needed.
  9. Participate in ongoing process improvements.
  10. Report non-conforming parts to Supervisor.
  11. Monitor machine operation, detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance features, and make necessary adjustments.
  12. Maintain the machining area for cleanliness and perform minor preventive maintenance (e.g., coolant levels).
  13. Record production data through Job Boss system.
  14. Support EMS Quality Policy and Objectives.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  1. High School diploma or GED plus Machining Certification with 7+ years of CNC experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. General knowledge of machining techniques on assigned equipment.
  3. Familiarity with material types and properties.
  4. Working knowledge of measuring equipment such as mics, calipers, comparators, and indicators.
  5. Ability to interpret drawing terms and feature requirements.
  6. Ability to read and understand the Router and Data Collection System.
  7. Understanding of relevant safety requirements.
  8. Ability to work in a team environment.
  9. Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
Restrictions
  1. Ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach, and lift up to 40 lbs repeatedly.
  2. Ability to stand for most of the shift.
