Position Details

We are seeking a full-time CNC Machinist III for 3rd shift (11:30 PM - 6:30 AM), Monday – Friday, at our Kearny Mesa facility, with a 25% shift differential pay.

Job Responsibilities

1. Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines including Lathe, Mill, and VTL to produce precision metal parts according to specifications.
2. Mount, align, and secure tooling and workpieces, and start/stop machine operations, making adjustments as necessary.
3. Monitor machines for malfunctions, perform routine maintenance, and ensure finished parts meet quality standards.
4. Participate in safety, quality, and efficiency meetings, and suggest process improvements.

Required Skills and Experience

• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and templates, including GD&T.
• Knowledge of machine controls (Fanuc or Mazak) and measuring devices.
• Shop mathematics and feeds & speeds calculations.
• Experience with CNC setup and operation, with familiarity in setting fixtures and changing cutting tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED; vocational training preferred.
• At least 4 years of CNC machining experience or equivalent.
