Job Description
Setup and operate CNC Machines under minimal supervision.
Primary Responsibilities
- Validate machine programs and work instructions before machining to assure accuracy of operations.
- Detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, adjust machine controls, and correct issues to meet production goals.
- Set up and operate CNC Machines for first article to prove out program and setup instructions.
- Document actions by completing work order routings.
- Proof programs without assistance.
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and needs.
- Work as a team player in a fast-paced environment to meet changing production demands.
- Report problems to management.
- Meet established company production goals.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
- Process remaining parts while conducting checks to ensure dimensional and surface finish requirements are met.
- Proof programs without assistance.
Facility/Group Specific Responsibilities
Knowledge of Mazak and FANUC controlled CNC machines, setup, tooling, and programming.
Education & Experience Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational or technical training preferred.
- 5-7 years of machining experience or comparable trade school background.
- Ability to learn conversational and numeric control programming, G&M codes.
- Experience with CNC machines, grinders, drill presses, hydraulic presses, etc.
Job Requirements
- Wear PPE continuously during shifts.
- Work in environments with potential hazards, participate in medical surveillance if required.
- Follow written and oral instructions.
- Communicate effectively in English.
- Work flexible shifts and schedules.

Technical Competencies
- Knowledge of tooling, measurements, GD&T, tolerances, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and develop NC programs.
Physical Requirements
- Operate machines for 8-12 hours.
- Lift up to 50 pounds, bend routinely.
