Edwards Vacuum in Buffalo, NY is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist III to lead advanced machining operations and mentor others. You will operate HMC, mill-turn, grinder, and balancer machines, ensure safety, quality, and SOP compliance, and guide complex troubleshooting with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve complex machining or process issues.
• Champion 6S workplace practices and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead root-cause analysis in collaboration with engineers and team leaders when technical issues arise.
• Mentor and train junior machinists, supporting skill development and team knowledge transfer.
• Recommend process optimizations and support pilot runs or new setups as needed.

• Salary Range: $28.85 - $47.60

Your role

CNC Machinist III are highly skilled professionals responsible for advanced machining operations, mentoring others, and contributing to technical problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires leadership, deep technical expertise, and a commitment to operational excellence.

• Expertly operate and troubleshoot HMC, mill-turn, grinder, and balancer machines across various part families.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in safety, quality, and SOP compliance.
