Job summary

Bettcher Industries in Ohio is seeking a Machinist II to operate CNC machines with minimal supervision. You will verify workpiece conformance, read work instructions, follow procedures, and communicate any quality issues to a senior machinist.

You will set offsets, interpret CNC programs, inspect parts with calipers and micrometers, and participate in preventative maintenance while meeting production standards. A High School Diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred 3 years of experience in manufacturing machining or vocational schooling.
• Must troubleshoot equipment and identify tooling issues such as worn tooling and tool holders.
• Must meet qualification standards of previous level.

Responsibilities

• Observes CNC machine operation and verifies conformance to specs and tolerances.
• Reads work instructions for product specs, dimensions, and tooling.
• Follows SOPs and completes tasks in proper sequence.
