Job summary

Hanwha Aerospace USA in Cheshire, CT is seeking a CNC Machinist 2 to plan and perform CNC turning and milling operations on metal parts, reading blueprints and engineering instructions to ensure conformance to specifications.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating lathes and mills, measuring parts with micrometers, and maintaining in-process inspection records. A High School diploma or GED and 3+ years of CNC experience are required; U.S. Person for ITAR data access preferred.

Qualifications

• U.S. Person with eligibility to work on ITAR data.
• High School Degree or GED.
• 3+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist.

Responsibilities

• Machine parts to specifications using lathes and milling machines.
• Read from blueprints and engineering instructions to ensure conformance.
• Measure completed units with micrometers and other precision tools.
• Set up, adjust, and operate basic and specialized machine tools.
• Align fixtures and tools, select appropriate tools and materials.
• Maintain in-process records and report any faults or unusual conditions.
• Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards.
