Job summary

Edwards Vacuum LLC is seeking a CNC Machinist II in Buffalo, NY, to operate a range of CNC machines and contribute to process improvements at our new facility in Western New York. You will troubleshoot issues, interpret blueprints, and perform in-process inspections while maintaining a strong safety and quality focus.

The role requires 4-8 years of CNC machining experience, ability to work with different machine types, and solid knowledge of G-code/M-code.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to operate multiple machine types efficiently.
• Understanding of basic G-code and M-code commands.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently operate HMC, mill-turn, grinder, and balancer machines with minimal supervision.
• Consistently follow all safety, quality, and SOP requirements.
• Identify and report process inefficiencies or equipment issues.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization (6S) in assigned work areas.
• Provide feedback to engineers and team leads on recurring issues and potential improvements.
• Assist in mentoring and training Tier 1 machinists.
• Accurately interpret blueprints, perform in-process inspections, and make basic offsets or adjustments.
