B-K Tool & Design is seeking an experienced CNC Setup Machinist / CNC Programmer for our 3rd shift team in Kalida, OH. This role covers CNC milling, programming, and setup on 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis and lathe centers to produce precision components for high-end automation systems.

Applicants with G-code, CAM programming, Mastercam or Fusion 360 experience are encouraged to apply. We offer a starting base pay of 26–36 USD per hour, a night shift premium up to 43.20 USD per hour, an annual bonus,

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC machining experience in job shop or custom manufacturing.
• Strong setup and programming ability on HAAS machines.

Responsibilities

Job description

B-K Tool & Design is seeking an experienced CNC Setup Machinist / CNC Programmer for our 3rd shift team in Kalida, OH. This position involves CNC milling, CNC programming, machine setup, and operation of 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis and lathe machining centers producing precision‑machined components for high end automation systems. Candidates with experience in CNC machining, CNC setup, G‑code editing, CAM programming, Mastercam, Fusion 360, and multi‑axis machining are encouraged to apply.

This is not a repetitive production operator role. We are looking for skilled machinists who can independently set up, program, and run complex parts with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Independently program, set up, and operate HAAS CNC machines (3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis)
• Work on custom automation and low-volume precision components
• Use CAM software (Fusion 360, Mastercam, or similar) to create and modify programs
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and 3D models
• Select tooling, speeds, and feeds for complex machining operations
• Inspect parts using precision measurement tools
• Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams when needed

Experience:

• 5+ years CNC machining experience (job shop or custom manufacturing preferred)
• Strong CNC setup and programming ability
• Experience with HAAS machines and multi‑axis machining
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings and GD&T
• CAM programming experience is required
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently on 3rd shift
