Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a CNC Machinist II (Horizontal) in Haverhill, MA to independently set up and operate horizontal machining centers, machining complex components to tight tolerances.

This direct-hire role offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, pay between $26 and $33 per hour, and strong benefits with long‑term career growth. You will work on precision components, read blueprints, and contribute to process improvements in a stable, growth‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 2–10 years CNC machining experience.
• Ability to independently perform machine setups.
• Strong blueprint reading skills.
• Knowledge of GD&T principles.
• Experience with calipers, micrometers, and inspection equipment.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Independently set up and operate CNC horizontal machining centers.
• Read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing instructions.
• Adjust offsets, feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters.
• Perform fixture setup and changeovers.
• Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Troubleshoot common machining and tooling issues.
• Machine components to moderate and tight tolerances.
• Support process improvement initiatives.
