Job summary

The Marvin Group, a leading defense contractor based in Southern California, seeks a CNC Machinist II for 100% onsite work. You will set up and operate vertical, horizontal, and multi-axis mills and lathes, review complex blueprints, and ensure parts meet exact specifications.

Expect 3–5 years of machining experience, strong fixturing/tooling knowledge, and proficiency with Mazak, DMG Mori, Okuma, and OKK machines. Schedule: Mon–Fri, 2:30PM–11:30PM; salary based on experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in a machining environment.
• Able to read and interpret complex blueprints and manufacturing sketches.
• Experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes and performing setups.
• Understanding of fixturing, tooling, and machine setups.
• Must speak/read/write English.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate vertical, horizontal, and multi-axis mills and lathes (Mazak, DMG Mori, Okuma, OKK).
• Interpret blueprints and manufacturing sketches to ensure part conformance.
• Verify part dimensions using appropriate measuring instruments.
• Maintain quality and meet cycle times; perform routine maintenance.
• Record labor hours and production quantities in ERP; suggest process improvements.
