What You’ll Do:

  • Perform intermediate to complex CNC machining tasks, including setup, programming, and operation of multi-axis (3+1 and/or 3+2 indexing) machines
  • Modify existing programs to improve efficiency and machining quality
  • Design and implement custom fixtures for effective and accurate work holding
  • Apply knowledge of lathe concepts and high-tolerance machining to meet customer specifications
  • Collaborate with and mentor less experienced machinists, offering technical guidance and support
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for increased efficiency in machining strategies and tooling selection
  • Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings, utilizing GD&T standards and precision measurement tools
  • Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and AS9100D quality standards in all machining processes

You Bring:

  • 2+ years of CNC machining and programming experience in a manufacturing environment (required); 2-year machining degree preferred
  • Proficiency in multi-axis (3+1 and/or 3+2 indexing) CNC machining and complex fixture setup
  • Solid understanding of lathe operations, surface finishes, material properties, and part tolerances
  • Ability to read and interpret technical prints and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Strong knowledge of shop mathematics, mechanics, and precision measurement instruments
  • Basic computer literacy and comfort navigating modern manufacturing systems and tools
  • A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and a willingness to mentor team members
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, process improvement, and maintaining high-quality standards under minimal supervision
