We are currently seeking a person who identifies strongly with our mission and core values to join our team in Seattle, WA as a CNC Machinist II. This is an ideal role for someone who is dependable, self-motivated and who has at least 1 year of set-up experience on manual mills and at least 3 years CNC Machinist experience.

Purpose
Utilize current knowledge, skills and abilities to further improve capabilities on how to set-up and operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate complex metallic and nonmetallic parts.
Responsibilities
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers and pin-gauges to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece by using sequence of operations and set-up requirements from drawings, work orders and verbal instructions.
- Selects, aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines.
- Selects and loads appropriate program from network.
- Sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed and coolant flow.
- Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
- Reads, understands and interprets G and M codes.
- Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications per SOP set forth in our BMS.
- Confers with leads or supervisors to resolve machining problems.
- Ensures the adherence to company safety and health standards, policies and procedures by monitoring personnel, machinery and work environment.
- Immediately notify supervisor and/or Safety Manager of any safety and health concerns and problems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of set-up experience on manual mills preferred.
- At least 3 years CNC Machinist experience preferred.
- Ability to carry-out instructions and give clear feedback.
- Ability to understand policies and procedures.
- General math skills with a basic knowledge of manufacturing.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Advanced knowledge of precision measuring instrument.
- Advanced understanding of work orders and tools.
- Basic knowledge of quality system concepts and procedures.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand up to 8 hours with standard rest-periods.
- Ability to perform work assignments requiring repetitive motions.
- Ability to work schedule as assigned.
