Job summary

SMS Elotherm in Shelby Township, Michigan is seeking a CNC Machinist to join the team. The ideal candidate will read manufacturing prints, set up CNC mill/lathe fixtures, and proficiently operate CNC controls with G-code programming.

Responsibilities include interpreting Fanuc G-code, following established procedures, and performing precise measurements with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators. A High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret basic manufacturing prints used for production of parts.
• Familiar with standard setup and fixturing for CNC mill/lathe.
• Proficient use of CNC machine controls and manual G-code programming.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret production prints to ensure part conformity.
• Set up fixtures and fixtures alignment for CNC mill and lathe.
• Operate CNC machines and perform manual G-code programming.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges; document results.
