Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Indiana is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to run lathes, grinders, mills, and presses. You will set up tooling, take precise measurements, and ensure parts meet quality standards.

The role requires up-to-date safety practices and active participation in continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment. The position is offered on 1st and 3rd shifts with training on 1st shift for up to two months. Relocation is not available, and visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 1+ years of machining experience.
• Ability to measure accurately and perform basic shop math.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery including lathes, grinders, mills and brake presses.
• Set up and operate heavy duty power press for forming metal parts.
• Take detailed measurements and evaluate part acceptability.
• Troubleshoot and adjust tooling during machining.
• Maintain production records and equipment documentation.
• Keep work area clean and safe, adhering to policies.
