Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Machinist-I for the 3rd shift at the South Milwaukee, WI facility. You will set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, ensuring tolerance and quality standards while using precise measuring tools. The role involves reading drawings, GD&T, and collaborating with QA and engineering for root-cause analysis.

Typical hours are 10:30 pm–6:30 am with shift premium and potential overtime. Benefits include health coverage, paid holidays, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• 1+ year experience interpreting drawings, operating CNCs and setting up machines.
• Willingness to work 3rd shift and overtime as needed.
• Residence within 50 miles of South Milwaukee facility.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes with quality focus.
• Maintain tolerances and meet production standards.
• Perform machine offsets and adjustments per prints and specs.
• Download/manage CNC programs via DNC network.
• Read engineering drawings and GD&T requirements for conformance.
• Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to troubleshoot issues.
