Job summary

DRT Holdings, LLC is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for our Dayton, OH area. You will set up and operate Horizontal Machining Centers, read blueprints, perform first-piece inspections, and ensure tight tolerances in a high-mix environment.

You’ll work with qualified teams, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining quality and safety. Weekly pay, overtime, and day-one benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of CNC machining experience
• Experience setting up and operating Horizontal Machining Centers (HMCs)
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
• Experience with fixtures, tooling, and precision measuring instruments
• Ability to hold tight tolerances and maintain high quality standards
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Horizontal Machining Centers (HMCs)
• Perform tooling changes, fixture setups, work offset adjustments, and first-piece inspections
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications
• Machine precision components to tight tolerances and quality requirements
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, bore gages, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment
• Adjust tooling and machine offsets to maintain quality and productivity
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup issues
• Monitor tool life and identify opportunities for process improvements
• Complete production and inspection documentation accurately
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to achieve performance goals
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
