Job summary

Virnig Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate CNC and manual machines, load/unload materials, and read blueprints to produce steel components that meet quality standards. The role emphasizes problem solving, safety, and teamwork across shifts in a productive, safe environment.

Candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent; a Machine Tool Technology degree is a plus. Expect standard hours with potential for extra shifts and growth opportunities within the plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Machine Tool Technology degree a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines and occasionally manual machine tools.
• Read, interpret and understand layouts, job packets and blueprints for components produced.
• Load and unload materials and parts from machines.
• Measure, examine, and test completed parts to ensure conformance to Virnig quality standards.
• Collect, input and test data with gauges and instruments.
• Perform side operations during machine cycle time as required.
• Perform daily maintenance of machines and report beyond-operator issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Adjust tools and space as needed.
• Work with shifts to meet departmental quality and productivity goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
