Job summary

VDL Industries Gainesville LLC in Flowery Branch, GA is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce high-precision parts. You will ensure machines run correctly, parts meet specs, and safety/quality standards are followed.

Hours are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:00 am - 6:00 pm. Applicants should have 5+ years of CNC experience and be proficient with DMG Mori, Siemens, and Fanuc controls.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Vocational/Technical training in Precision Machining preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with CNC mills (3-axis, 5-axis) and lathes (standard and mill/turn).
• Experience with DMG Mori, Siemens, and Fanuc controls is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders, blueprints, job routers, and technical documentation to plan machining operations.
• Interpret and modify G-code to optimize machine performance and part accuracy.
• Set up CNC machines (mills and lathes) with correct tooling, holders, and fixturing.
• Load raw materials and apply correct offsets and probing cycles.
• Verify machine settings and quality by inspecting first-run and sample parts.
• Use precision measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy throughout production runs.
• Continuously optimize cycle times while maintaining part quality.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Maintain shift continuity by documenting work performed and communicating with team members.
• Complete all required production and quality logs accurately and on time
