Job summary

JST Manufacturing in Idaho is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines, read blueprints, and determine machining methods to meet tolerances. You will work with CNC programmers to improve programs and maintain productivity, using precision measuring tools and strict quality procedures throughout the shift.

The role requires GD&T knowledge, shop math, and a technical degree or equivalent experience, with a Monday–Friday shift and opportunities to contribute across manufacturing,

Qualifications

• CNC cutting machine operation experience.
• Able to read blueprints and have a working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Must be competent in shop math, including algebra and trigonometry.
• Experience cutting stainless steels and plastics a plus.
• Technical degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work and contribute within a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines using setup sheets.
• Interpret engineering drawings and determine machining methods.
• Know G-code, speeds, and feeds for different materials.
• Collaborate with CNC programmers on setup, troubleshooting and programs.
• Use precision measuring instruments and follow quality procedures.
• Track job labor and material usage with PC and floor software.
• Follow safety and company procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Maintain equipment and shop cleanliness.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks to support departments.
• Contribute to team efforts and communicate manufacturability constraints.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; stand for the shift; various physical requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
