Bowhead is hiring a Machinist to support the NSWCDD Machine Shop in Virginia. The role programs, sets up, and machines parts per DoD drawings, working with Haas, Fadal, and ProtoTrak equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least three years of CNC milling/lathe experience.
• Ability to draw and program with CAD/CAM software.
• Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Read and interpret machinist drawings with precision.
• Proficient with calipers and micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CNC lathes and mills.
• Set up tools and create fixtures for parts.
• Work with Haas/Fadal/ProtoTrak equipment daily.
• Ensure parts meet DoD drawings and tolerances.
• Use measuring tools to inspect in-process and finished parts.
