GTRJOBS is seeking a strong CNC Machinist for the Elyria, OH area. The role focuses on setup and operation of CNC mills and lathes, tool touch-offs, offsets, and troubleshooting to keep production moving efficiently.

Ideal candidates will have real machining experience, solid mechanical aptitude, and basic math skills to interpret machining requirements. Programming is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• Must have genuine CNC machining experience.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes.
• Capable of tool touch-offs and offsets.
• Able to read and interpret machining requirements.
• Familiar with machine controls and production flow.
• Programming experience is a plus.

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes
• Perform tool touch-offs and offsets
• Load and verify tooling
• Check machines to ensure they are running correctly
• Perform setups and make adjustments as needed
• Monitor production and keep jobs moving
• Troubleshoot basic machining and equipment issues
• Verify parts and tooling are running correctly
• Help with machine controls and understand overall production flow
• Assist with programming as capabilities allow
• Work with a CAD-based programming system
• Support multiple machines and machining processes as needed
