Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a CNC Machinist I to join a collaborative shop in Colorado Springs. You will operate CNC mills and lathes, execute complex setups, interpret blueprints, and run manual machines for secondary operations.

You will perform first-article and in-process inspections, troubleshoot issues, mentor junior machinists, and contribute to safety and 5S standards. This full-time role offers overtime, benefits, and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of CNC machine operation experience.
• Proficient blueprint reading and precision measurement skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Team player who can mentor junior machinists effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills/lathes to meet blueprint and specification requirements.
• Execute complex machine setups using provided setup sheets and tool lists.
• Interpret drawings and blueprints to determine optimal machining approach.
• Run manual machines (mills, lathes, drill presses, band saw) for secondary operations.
• Perform first‑article and routine in‑process inspections with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot issues; apply corrective actions to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve processes for quality and efficiency.
• Mentor CNC Machinist I team members; foster a learning culture.
• Complete routine maintenance; uphold safety policies and 5S standards.
• Escalate equipment/production concerns quickly and clearly.
• Document production, material usage, and inspection data with accuracy.
