Job summary

GC Products LLC, a subsidiary of Armstrong World Industries, is seeking a Jr./Apprentice Machinist to learn CNC routing and mold fabrication for cement- and gypsum-based architectural products. You will work under senior programmers to gain hands-on experience with CNC routers and related tooling.

This entry-level role emphasizes mentorship, safety, and steady skill development in Enroute, Mastercam, and CAD/CAM workflows, with a clear path toward mastery in molding fabrication.

Qualifications

• Basic ability to read and interpret shop drawings or blueprints.
• Interest in learning CNC machine operations and machine parameters.
• Ability to take direction and work with senior staff.
• Strong teamwork, punctuality and reliability.
• Basic computer literacy and interest in CAD/CAM software.

Responsibilities

• Learn to create and prepare working drawings and files for mold fabrication.
• Assist in the setup and operation of CNC routers under supervision.
• Develop proficiency in Enroute & Mastercam software for CNC cutting and file preparation.
• Support CAD and molding fabrication departments with general tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist with routine preventive maintenance on CNC machines and related equipment.
• Monitor stock material levels and verify received materials.
