Job summary

Lkjordan is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to program, set up and operate CNC machines in a Texas facility. You will interpret mechanical drawings, select tooling and fixtures, and ensure optimal tool life and performance.

Responsibilities include precision measurements with calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and maintaining thorough documentation for traceability and quality control.

Qualifications

• Five years CNC machine and programming experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings accurately.
• Knowledge of tooling selection, fixture setup, and precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read engineering drawings with GD&T specifications.
• Strong math skills for measurement conversions and tolerances.

Duties

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines


• Interpret mechanical blueprints and designs


• Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for various machining operations while ensuring optimal tool life and performance.

• Perform precision measurement using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges


• Conduct machining tool setup and calibration


• Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, measurements, and quality inspections for traceability.

Experience

• Minimum of five years of CNC Machine and Programming experience.


• Understanding of blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret mechanical drawings accurately.


• Mechanical knowledge related to tooling selection, fixture setup, geometry calculations, and precision measurement instruments like bore gauges and micrometers.


• Ability to interpret engineering drawings with GD&T specifications for precision manufacturing.


• Strong math skills essential for measurement conversions, tolerances calculations, and program adjustments.

Requirements

• Must pass background check and drug screen as well as have reliable transportation.

Compensation

• $27 - $39 per hour, depending on experience.
