Job summary

Major Tool & Machine is seeking experienced CNC Machinists for second and third shifts in Indianapolis. You will perform custom machining, set up and run parts, applying machining principles, shop math, blueprint reading and GD&T.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years CNC experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality. We offer market leading pay, benefits, and a 4/10 option with quarterly bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Two years of trade school, vocational education or apprenticeship.
• Three to five years of CNC machining experience.
• General machining knowledge, shop math, GD&T and blueprint reading.
• Experience with part/tool probing; high speed machining a plus.
• Siemens 840D control experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine tolerances.
• Set up and run custom machining operations with appropriate fixtures.
• Monitor speed, feed, and depth; adjust as needed for tolerances.
• Detect malfunctions and out-of-tolerance conditions and correct quickly.
• Verify first piece and maintain data with precision instruments.
• Maintain cleanliness of machine and work area daily.
