Job summary

Barron Industries in Oxford, MI is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. You will design fixtures, program high-precision, multi-axis tooling, and ensure tight tolerances on aerospace-grade components.

You will read blueprints, work with GD&T, and operate Tebis with FANUC controllers to deliver quality parts on schedule. This role requires problem-solving and a strong hands-on mindset in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist.
• Knowledge of 5 Axis machines.
• 3-5 years of CNC machining experience in manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Experience using Tebis and background with FANUC machine controllers.

Responsibilities

• Fixture design and creation to hold irregular shaped casted parts.
• Strong background in GD&T, knowledge of how to work to datums.
• Advanced programming using Tebis to make live 5-axis toolpaths.
• Probing parts to align and locate them using a RENISHAW probe.
• Ability to shift hours in order to maintain lights out machine utilization.
• Sense of urgency to get parts running and move through the shop.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Aerospace and Defense manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with ITAR, ISO 9001, and AS9100 requirements.
• Experience machining complex, high-value, tight-tolerance aerospace or defense components.
