Job summary

Barron Industries in Oxford, MI is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. You will design fixtures, program 5-axis toolpaths with Tebis, and probe parts using RENISHAW probes to ensure precise results.

The role requires strong GD&T skills, reading blueprints, and the ability to adjust hours for lights-out production in a high-precision aerospace/defense environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist.
• Knowledge of 5-axis machines.
• 3–5 years CNC machining in manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Experience using Tebis and FANUC controllers.

Responsibilities

• Fixture design and creation to hold irregular shaped casted parts.
• Work with GD&T and datums.
• Advance programming using Tebis for live 5-axis toolpaths.
• Probe parts to align and locate with RENISHAW probe.
• Shift hours to maintain lights-out machine utilization.
• Move parts through the shop with urgency.

What We’re Looking For

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Aerospace and Defense manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with ITAR, ISO 9001, and AS9100 requirements.
• Experience machining complex, high-value, tight-tolerance aerospace or defense components.
