Job summary

Roper Pump Company seeks a skilled CNC machinist to set up and operate a 3- or 4-axis mill, read and edit CNC programs, and inspect parts to ensure tolerances.

You will read blueprints, use micrometers and calipers, maintain data integrity, and help maintain quality standards in a loud, fast-paced shop.

This full-time role requires teamwork, safety awareness, and lifting up to 50 pounds; forklift or pallet jack license is a plus. Weekly hours Monday through Friday with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year experience with a 3-axis or 4-axis CNC controlled mill.
• Able to read, use and interpret blueprints, micrometers, dial indicators, gauges and vernier calipers to check and maintain work quality.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Gauge and maintain quality parts throughout machining process.
• Maintain quality standards for production parts according to written quality procedures and practices.
• Maintain accurate parts counts and data integrity by clocking in and out properly on data computer collection system.
• Mark and/or tag identifying material on stock items and prepare paperwork for routing of materials.
• Conduct minor repairs and maintenance to cutting tools during production process.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a safe working environment.
• Other responsibilities as required or assigned.
