Job summary

Epiroc in Two Harbors, MN is hiring a General Machinist to operate CNC multi-axis machines and produce precision parts onsite. The role requires knowledge of CNC milling and turning, and interaction with engineering teams to ensure manufacturability.

The position is on-site with a 2nd shift (3:00 PM–1:30 AM). Training may occur outside the hired shift. Sign-on bonus available and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or two-year technical diploma.
• Experience with machined parts.
• Knowledge of CNC Milling and Turning Equipment.
• Problem Solving skills (desirable).
• Basic experience with precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers).
• Comfortable with Windows and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Operate multi-axis CNC Mills and Lathes to manufacture complex parts.
• Evaluate tool wear, adjust offsets, and load/unload parts.
• Load raw materials, replace cutting tools, and follow setup procedures for CNC operations.
• Check product specs, handle nonconforming products, and complete production documentation.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including PPE use, and maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S standards.
