Job summary

Goodwill Industries of West Michigan, Inc. is seeking a CNC Machinist for a 2nd shift on a temporary, full-time basis at our Michigan facility. The role involves operating CNC machines, setting tool offsets, performing changeovers, and reading technical drawings.

You will work with metrology tools, document times, and collaborate with manufacturing staff to minimize downtime and sustain quality. Prior operator experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of operator experience preferred.
• Good math and analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Touch off tools and change tool offsets to ensure quality parts.
• Inspect and replace damaged tooling.
• Ability to changeover to new jobs as needed.
• Load programs for parts to be run.
• Load and unload parts into machines.
• Use metrology tools to check parts (calipers, micrometers, gages).
• Log time and qualify good/bad parts.
