NOW HIRING: CNC MACHINIST – 2ND SHIFT (+$5/HR SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL)
Location: 531 Old Swede Road – Douglassville, PA 19518
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1:30PM–10:00PM | Full-time on-site
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate up to $34/hour based on experience, skills, and market data—top-of-range compensation is reserved for candidates who demonstrate strong, job-relevant experience and independent setup capability + $5/hour shift differential
At American Crane & Equipment Corporation (ACECO), we’re looking for a CNC Machinist to produce custom, low‑volume, high‑value components where precision and setup knowledge matter.
This is a CNC‑focused machining role—you’ll spend most of your time setting up machines, making adjustments, and ensuring parts meet specifications, while being accountable for quality, tolerances, and machining accuracy.

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
- Learn ACECO machining standards, workflows, and safety expectations
- Independently set up and run CNC machines on assigned jobs
- Make adjustments to maintain tolerances and improve quality
- Produce parts with minimal rework or scrap
- Build trust with team through consistency and ownership
What You’ll Do
CNC Machining & Setup (Primary Focus)
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision components
- Make offsets, tool adjustments, and machine corrections
- Interpret programs and verify machining processes meet specifications
- Monitor machine performance and ensure consistent quality
Manual Machining Support (Secondary)
- Operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, drill presses, and boring mills as needed
- Support jobs requiring both CNC and manual machining techniques
Blueprint Reading & Precision Measurement
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine machining requirements
- Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances
Tooling, Materials & Maintenance
- Select appropriate tooling and understand material behavior (primarily steel)
- Perform basic tool maintenance and support jig/fixture setup
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
What We’re Looking For
Education
- High school diploma required
- Vocational training or machinist certification preferred
Experience
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience required
- Experience with machine setup, offsets, and troubleshooting preferred
- Manual machining experience strongly preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools
- Solid understanding of machining processes and material properties
- Basic understanding of G‑code and CNC program structure (editing a plus)

Requirements
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship

Additional Requirements For The Position
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work for extended periods
- Ability to work around machinery and moving parts
- Ability to operate safely in an industrial manufacturing environment
