Job Summary
Set-up and operate CNC Lathe or Mill machines to produce precision parts. Develop CNC programs for contour-path machining of parts on automatic machine tools.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings.
  • Utilize knowledge of CNC programming, electronics, and computer-aided manufacturing.
  • Analyze drawings to determine machining parameters.
  • Set-up and operate CNC lathes and mills.
  • Machine parts within specified tolerances and quality standards.
  • Work with engineers to ensure quality and specifications.
  • Write and revise CNC programs and instruction sheets.
  • Perform quality checks and inspections.

Qualifications

  • Physical ability to handle tooling and set up large workpieces safely.
  • Own and effectively use necessary tools of the trade.
  • Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Strong math skills and ability to work with precision measuring instruments.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming and operation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work with coolants, solvents, and grease.

Minimum Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five years of experience operating CNC lathes and/or mills.
  • Blueprint reading skills are a plus.

Work Environment

  • Shop environment.

Work Hours

  • 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM.

Travel

  • Up to 10% travel required.
