Job summary

The company seeks a skilled CNC Machinist in Lebanon, OH, to join the 2nd shift. This hands-on role produces precision components to exact specifications and supports a safe, ethical, forward-thinking manufacturing environment.

You will set up and program CNC equipment, read blueprints, select tools, inspect tooling, monitor performance, and maintain quality on-site. The role demands lifting up to 50 lbs and wearing PPE during a tight 2nd-shift schedule (4:15 PM–2:45 AM, Mon–Thu).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Location: Lebanon, OH | Schedule: Full-time, on-site, 2nd shift (4:15 PM to 2:45 AM, Monday thru Thursday)

Overview

An established manufacturer in the precision machining industry is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join its 2nd shift team. This hands-on role is central to producing high-quality component parts to exact specifications, supporting the company's commitment to forward-thinking, collaborative, and ethical operations.

What you'll do

• Machine parts following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications
• Set up, adjust, and efficiently operate CNC machine tools to perform diversified and difficult operations requiring close and exact tolerances on products with varied dimensions, contours, and finish requirements
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials into the machine
• Maintain and inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability
• Calculate and set controls and programming to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, adjusting controls as needed
• Apply basic programming skills to the operation of CNC equipment
• Clean and maintain machines, tooling, and parts to keep equipment in optimal production condition
• Maintain and edit CNC programs to fine-tune processes for optimum performance
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to set up, program, and operate CNC equipment, including CNC VTL, CNC horizontal mill, CNC vertical mill, and CNC horizontal lathes
• Ability to operate various types of machine tools to perform progressive machining
• Ability to read blueprints and plans
• Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane
• Ability to read measuring instruments and maintain machinery and equipment in the machining trade
• Excellent mathematic and problem-solving skills
• Excellent mechanical skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally; loads over 50 pounds require two people or a lifting device
• Ability to climb and work from ladders, operate lifting devices, and move around the shop floor without assistance
• Ability to work in confined spaces, including crawling in, on, and under equipment
• Ability to tolerate a typical shop environment, including extreme heat, cold, dust, noise, and fumes
• Must wear safety glasses and steel toed shoes, along with additional PPE as required

Preferred qualifications

• Completion of a vocational training course is preferred
