Leidos is seeking a talented CNC Machinist 2nd shift to join our Mechanical Manufacturing team in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will need experience in programming, setup, and operation of machine tools including CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.

Primary Responsibilities

1. The CNC Machinist must be capable of reading engineering drawings and CAD models to produce precision parts.
2. Experience in manufacturing complex aerospace components from exotic materials like Titanium is a plus.
3. Experience with 5-axis and/or mill-turn machining is a plus.
4. This role involves working on various projects in a fast-paced R&D environment with minimal assistance.

Basic Qualifications

1. High School diploma/GED with at least 3 years of experience in precision machining on CNC Mills & CNC Lathes.
2. Ability to lift at least 35 pounds unassisted.
3. Willingness to work overtime when required.
4. Full-time availability, 4 days/week, 10 hours per shift, 2nd shift.
5. Must be a US Citizen with or able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with 5-axis machining using Fanuc, Siemens 840D controls.
2. Two years of experience with 2D & 3D CAM software.
3. Experience machining in a prototype environment.

Additional Details

Posting Date: May 7, 2025

Pay Range: $55,250.00 - $99,875.00. Compensation depends on responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and other factors.
