Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC machining equipment required. EDM, Makino Fast Hole, or aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong listening and communication skills; verbal and written skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies understanding.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with initiative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Manufacturing ERPs (Job Boss).

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate EDM/CNC machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.
  • Make edits and adjustments to meet work orders/blueprints.
  • Demonstrate feeds/speeds knowledge and tool application.
  • Inspect work for all dimensional features as required.
  • Produce quality and quantity per company requirements.
  • Complete paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc.
  • Maintain area, equipment, and tooling; perform operator maintenance.
  • Train, guide, and assist other employees as required.
  • Collaborate with team to resolve process or system issues.
  • Comply with OSHA, health, safety, and environment requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate EDM/CNC machines and other related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.
  • Make all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application.
  • Inspect work as required for all dimensional features as required.
  • Produce quality and quantity of work in accordance with company requirements.
  • Accurately complete paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc.
  • Perform duties while adhering to good machining practices.
  • Maintain area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets.
  • Train, guide, and assist other employees as required.
  • Take a proactive approach to solving process or system-related problems and coordinate with other team members/departments for resolution.
  • Comply with OSHA, health, safety, and environment requirements.
  • May be assigned tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this job description to support department objectives and develop individual skills.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Physical Requirements: Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

The worker may be required to move, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and/or complete repetitive motions during the course of work.

Visual Requirements: Visual acuity to operate machines and perform skilled trades tasks within arm's reach.

Environmental Conditions: Inside environmental conditions with exposure to noise, possible hazards, fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation, oils and cutting fluids.
