Position Overview

The CNC Machinist sets up and operates CNC (computer numerical controlled) mills, lathes, verticals, or horizontals.

Job Details

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate CNC equipment.
• Read, understand, and follow prints.
• Produce components at or above established cycle time and quality levels.
• Change, touch off, and adjust offsets as necessary to maintain dimensions.
• Set up and change over to run different part numbers.
• Set up and operate various machines within the facility.
• Write machining programs for new production parts.
• Load raw materials and unload parts.
• Perform manual deburring as needed.
• Perform in-process inspection of machined components.
• Verify parts for conformance to specifications using measuring devices.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Complete daily machine upkeep and preventative maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years related experience.
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Strong math skills relevant to the role.
• Ability to follow safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions.
• Willingness to learn and set up various machines.
