Position Summary

The CNC Machine Operator – Senior Level (Level III) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of CNC machine operations, including programming, setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

This position requires extensive CNC experience, advanced technical knowledge, strong attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership of the work area while contributing to a positive, team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Implement advanced machining techniques and processes.
• Perform complex machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced mechanical, software, and machining issues.
• Perform routine and advanced machine maintenance.
• Monitor production processes to ensure quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Conduct final inspections and quality audits to ensure products meet specifications.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Assist in other areas of the shop when needed — no part of the job is beneath you.
• Work collaboratively with team members and management to meet production goals.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience preferred.
• Extensive experience with CNC programming and machine operation.
• In-depth knowledge of CNC technology, machining processes, and industry standards.
• Familiarity with current CNC technology and advanced machining techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex machine issues, including mechanical and software problems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• High level of skill, accountability, and reliability.
• Ability to take ownership of your work area and responsibilities.
• Positive, no-ego attitude with a willingness to help others and contribute to a team-focused environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field preferred, but relevant experience will be considered.
