Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2–3 years of CNC machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Experience operating CNC machining equipment and performing setups.
• Knowledge of feeds, speeds, cutting tools, and machining practices.
• Ability to inspect and verify dimensions including diameters, lengths, flatness, and straightness.
• Basic understanding of GD&T and conversational programming.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate 3-axis CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers and turning centers.
• Develop machining processes, tooling selections, setups, and part programs for custom projects.
• Machine components to moderate tolerances (±0.005) while maintaining quality standards.
• Interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Manufacture custom precision components for large industrial repair projects.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, field service teams, and supervisors to determine efficient manufacturing methods.
• Optimize CNC programs, tooling, and machining processes for quality and productivity.
• Set up and operate CNC boring mills, lathes, and machining centers.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep a clean, organized work area.
• Complete quality documentation and inspection records accurately.
• Uphold safety as the highest priority.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2–3 years of CNC machining experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Experience operating CNC machining equipment and performing setups
• Knowledge of feeds, speeds, cutting tools, and machining practices
• Ability to inspect and verify dimensions including diameters, lengths, flatness, and straightness
• Basic understanding of GD&T and conversational programming
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman certification or 2‑year Technical Degree
• Experience with Haas machining centers (vertical, horizontal, and/or turning)
• Experience with G&L boring mills
• Experience with G & M code programming
• CAM software experience, preferably Mastercam
• Familiarity with carbide drills, end mills, inserted cutters, and boring tooling
• Experience machining ferrous and non‑ferrous materials
• Experience using Faro CMM or advanced metrology equipment
