Pay Range

Base pay range

$19.00/hr - $23.50/hr

Summary/Objective

The CNC Machinist sets up and operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. Responsibilities include setting up VTC and vertical milling machines based on prints, loading parts, operating machines, detecting malfunctions, and communicating with team members. Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean work environment is essential.

Essential Functions

• Set up and operate vertical mills and perform required shop operations.
• Maintain fluid levels such as hydraulic and coolant fluids.
• Use measuring tools like MSR, calipers, mics, and indicators; utilize edge finders and torch off WPCs.
• Load programs, tools, and parts; understand basic programming functions.
• Report defective materials or issues to management.
• Keep work area and equipment clean and follow safety procedures.
• Perform milling, turning, drilling, tapping, deburring, sawing, sanding, and assist in other tasks as needed.
• Read blueprints, inspect materials and products, and document results.
• Complete and maintain paperwork.
• Participate in cross-training and training of new hires as directed by the supervisor.

Minimum Education and Experience
