Job summary

American Workforce Group is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a full-time, temp-to-hire role with a Monday–Friday day shift in Washington. You will operate CNC machining centers to produce custom parts, inspect components, and ensure conformance to blueprints while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of CNC experience, familiarity with Haas VF-3/VF-4, strong math skills, and comfort using calipers and micrometers.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of verifiable experience operating CNC machining centers.
• Prior experience running Haas VF-3 and VF-4 is highly preferred.
• Strong industrial math skills; able to convert fractions to decimals.
• Hands-on with precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers.
• Basic computer literacy and a reliable attendance history.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine CNC machining operations to produce custom parts per blueprints.
• Inspect finished components for quality, tolerances, and design conformity.
• Identify, log, and report defective raw materials or tool wear promptly.
• Maintain an organized work area; keep machining centers clean and orderly.
• Follow all safety regulations, PPE guidelines, and plant rules.

• Perform routine CNC machining operations to produce custom parts according to blueprints.
• Inspect completed components cleanly for quality, tolerances, and design conformity.

• Maintain a highly organized work area and keep machining centers clean and orderly.
• Follow all facility safety regulations, plant traffic rules, and personal PPE guidelines.
