CNC Machinist – Lathe & Mill


Pay: $21–$29 per hour (DOE)


Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM


Location: Tulsa, OK


Job Type: Temp-to-Hire


Candidates must pass an on-site CNC test to qualify for this position.


Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist – Lathe & Mill for a climate-controlled facility in Tulsa. This role involves operating fusion and fintube machines, setting up and securing parts, and using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with blueprints and specifications. Successful candidates must have experience troubleshooting and resolving operational or programming issues.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Operate 5-axis Mazak Integrex with turning capability.
  2. Run CNC machines using EIA (G+M code, NOT Mazatrol).
  3. Set up two machines simultaneously, requiring advanced machining skills.
  4. Use micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
  5. Read and interpret blueprints, symbols, and tolerances.
  6. Identify and select the correct material for each job.
  7. Perform setup tasks, including:
    1. Loading fixtures.
    2. Setting up and loading tools.
    3. Selecting and loading programs.
    4. Setting work coordinates.
    5. Adjusting offsets and verifying first-part accuracy.
  8. Ensure production meets assigned run times.
Job Requirements
  1. Must own or be willing to purchase a minimum set of tools and a locking toolbox.
  2. Minimum 1 year of experience operating CNC Lathe, Vertical Mill, and Manual Lathe.
  3. Consistent proven work history in CNC machining.
  4. Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine operation issues.
Physical Requirements
  1. Must be able to stand, bend, squat, and climb for 95% of the shift while operating machinery.
  2. Ability to lift and move parts up to 50 lbs.
  3. Use of lifting devices when possible, though some parts may require manual handling due to confined workspaces.
