Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe / Mill Operator and or set-up to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality parts and components.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Operate CNC lathe or Milling machines to perform various machining operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand product specifications.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy of parts produced.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines as needed.
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.
Qualifications

- Proficiency in operating CNC machines.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for quality control.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Mechanical knowledge for machine setup and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of machining processes and tools.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculation.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or relative experience and/or training for job classification.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
- Depending on job classification, may require basic math and/or tape measure reading.
- Depending on job classification, may require the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.
