Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate and maintain CNC mills and lathes at our Simpsonville, SC facility. You will read blueprints, set up multi-axis machines, and inspect parts using precision gauges to ensure tolerances are met.

A strong focus on safety and teamwork is essential to support high-quality production. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in CNC machining, solid measurement skills, and a commitment to precision.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC Machinist experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient in CNC milling and turning operations.
• Able to read technical blueprints and models.
• Experience using micrometers/calipers/gauges for inspection.
• Strong problem-solving and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CNC machines, ensuring calibration and good working order.
• Read and interpret blueprints to produce precision parts.
• Use micrometers, calipers and gauges to inspect parts against tolerances.
• Set up multi-axis machines for complex components.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain safety standards and collaborate with production team to meet deadlines.

Job description

Monday-Thursday 3pm-1:30am with optional OT on Thursday + Friday and 15% shift differential

Salary: $20 - $28 per hour

Responsibilities

• Operating and maintaining CNC machines, ensuring they are in good working order and calibrated correctly.
• Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models to produce precision parts.
• Using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to inspect and ensure that the produced parts meet the required specifications.
• Setting up and operating multi-axis machines for the production of complex components.
• Performing routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning and lubricating parts.
• Troubleshooting and resolving machine-related issues promptly and efficiently.
• Adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Working closely with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in operating and maintaining CNC machines, including mill and lathe operations.
• Extensive experience with precision tooling and the use of measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and design models.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues.
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on producing high-quality products that meet specifications.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.
• A relevant certification or diploma in CNC Machining or a related field would be an added advantage.
