Hunt Valve, a Fairbanks Morse Defense (FMD) company, has been manufacturing valves for naval customers for decades. As the company continues to grow, it is in need of a CNC Machinist. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes, understanding machining centers, lathes, and other equipment to produce parts within tight tolerances of .001 inches. Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines to manufacture parts according to engineering blueprints.
• Collaborate with CNC programmers to ensure programs produce parts that meet drawing specifications.
• Operate one or more CNC machines under supervisor guidance.
• Load programs and perform simple edits as needed.
• Adhere to company malpractice and ethics policies.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

• High School Diploma (preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience operating CNC and/or equivalent machinery.
• Minimum of 1-year experience with Fanuc and/or Okuma controls.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Proficiency with inspection measuring devices.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods and move about the facility.
• Well-organized with the ability to self-manage tasks to completion.
• Experience programming at the machine is a plus.
