Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a Senior CNC Machinist to operate 2- to 5-axis CNC machines and conventional equipment to produce high-precision parts. The role includes complex setups, reading blueprints, and ensuring parts meet tight tolerances.

Shifts available on 1st and 2nd, full-time with a day schedule (8 AM - 4 PM). High school diploma required, with at least 3 years of experience in advanced machining.

Qualifications

• Experience operating 2- to 5-axis CNC machines.
• Read blueprints, technical manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform complex setups across multiple machines, including tooling and offsets.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple CNC and conventional mills and lathes.
• Perform pre-operational inspections on all equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and specifications to determine work piece dimensions, tolerances, and setup requirements.
• Perform complex setups independently across multiple machines, including checking or changing chucking jaws, tooling, and rotating offsets.
• Operate sit-down forklifts to retrieve parts and load them onto storage racks.
• Utilize overhead cranes and hoists to load and unload heavy parts.
• Run trial operations to verify machine setting accuracy and programmed controls.
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and raw materials.
• Calculate and set machine controls to regulate speed, feed, coolant flow, and cut depth/angle.
• Monitor machine operations for malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust as needed.
• Inspect and verify finished workpieces for conformance to specs.
• Track and record time spent on tasks in the shop management system.
• Follow daily tasks in the department’s continuous improvement plan.

We are seeking an experienced Senior CNC Machinist to join our team. This role operates 2- to 5-axis CNC machines and conventional equipment to produce complex, high-precision parts.

Role Details

• Position: Senior CNC Machinist
• Shifts Available:
  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Position Type: Full-Time
• Salary: $58,240 - $70,720 per year
• Shift: First
• Work Hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
• Education: High School

Responsibilities

• Fully operate multiple machines as needed, including CNC and conventional mills and lathes.
• Perform pre-operational inspections on all equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and dispatch specifications to determine work piece dimensions, tolerances, operation sequences, and setup requirements.
• Perform complex setups independently across multiple machines, including checking or changing chucking jaws, tooling, and rotating offsets.
• Operate sit-down forklifts to retrieve parts and load them onto storage racks.
• Utilize overhead cranes and hoists to load and unload heavy parts between racks and machines.
• Run trial operations to verify machine setting accuracy and programmed controls.
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and raw materials.
• Calculate and set machine controls to regulate speed, feed, coolant flow, and cut depth/angle, or edit computerized control media.
• Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, making adjustments as needed.
• Inspect and verify finished workpieces for full conformance to technical specifications.
• Track and record time spent on individual functions and tasks within the enterprise shop management system.
• Carry out daily tasks following the department’s continuous improvement plan.
