Job description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Milling machinist for an aerospace manufacturing company in Portland, CT. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and operating 3 and 4 axis CNC Milling Machines. Ability to read blueprints and knowledge of GD&T is required. Also, the ability to inspect manufactured parts/products with gauges such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges is necessary.

Salary and Work Schedule

Salary: $68,000 - $80,000 per year
Shift: First
Work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Qualifications

• High School diploma
• 3 years of experience in CNC machining
• Experience with 3 and 4 axis CNC Milling Machines
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T
• Experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges)

Responsibilities

1. Set up and operate CNC and other manufacturing machines to produce machined parts, maintaining quality and safety standards.
2. Plan production by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and specifications.
3. Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
4. Ensure proper dimensions and tolerances for finished products.
5. Measure finished parts to ensure conformance using precision instruments.
