Job summary

Hoerbiger usa is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to read programs, set up and run 3-4 axis VMCs and 2-4 axis lathes. You will verify parts against blueprints, adjust offsets, and ensure quality documentation is completed. Experience with CNC programming, installation, and CMM operation is preferred.

A GED or high school diploma is required. Candidates should have 3–5 years of related CNC experience and be able to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Reads Programs, identifies errors, sets up machines, and performs offsets on CNC centers.
• Selects work holding and secures the workpiece; loads and secures cutting tools.
• Sets up and operates machines; monitors cutting operations against blueprints.
• Completes quality and production documents; notifies lead of non-conformities.
• Sets tooling and offsets; repeats operations to finish job orders.
• Performs basic machine maintenance and operates CMM with existing programs.

Duties and responsibilities • Reads Programs, Identify Errors, Sets Up Machines, Performs Offsets on turning machine centers • Selects appropriate work holding and secures the workpiece in the CNC • Loads and secures cutting tools • Set up and operation of machine and observes cutting operation • Compares completed workpiece with blueprint with regards to specific metric measurements based on pre-determined inspection cycle for the product • Alerts lead of any non-compliant completed workpiece prior to continuing production • Accurately completes required quality and production control documents • Setting new tooling and offsetting tool/program as required • Repeats the operation of the machine to complete the job order • Notifies lead of any unusual occurrences with the machine, tooling or workpiece • Performs Basic Machine Maintenance Functions • Follows all safety procedures regarding the proper operation of the machine • Sets up and operates CMM with existing programs • Performs other duties as may be required or assigned • Identifies Errors. • Preset Tools • Check for tool wear, breakage and/or tool life monitoring system • Deburring • Understands all aspects of Deburring • Ability to perform the functions of Machine Operator.
