Job summary

Laborup is hiring skilled CNC Lathe and Mill-Turn Machinists in Horsham, PA for a new state-of-the-art facility. You will work on multi-axis lathes with live tooling, setting up and optimizing programs, and ensuring tight tolerances for aerospace, defense, and medical components.

You will collaborate with engineers and quality teams, read GD&T-drawn blueprints, and perform precise inspections using micrometers and calipers. Growth opportunities and a modern, growth-oriented shop await.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience with a strong CNC turning background.
• Ability to independently set up and operate CNC lathes.
• Experience with multi-axis lathes, live tooling, or mill-turn machining; Doosan and Fanuc experience is a plus.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T understanding.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mill-turn machining centers to produce complex, tight-tolerance components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, workholding, and fixturing for machining operations.
• Make tooling offsets, program edits, and process adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machining issues involving tooling, dimensional accuracy, and surface finishes.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Work with engineering, programming, and quality teams to improve machining processes.
• Maintain production standards while ensuring consistent part quality and safe machine operation.

The ideal candidate has a strongCNC turning backgroundand is comfortable independently setting up machines, selecting tooling, making program adjustments, and troubleshooting machining processes. You'll work with advanced CNC equipment, includingmulti-axis lathes and mill-turn machining centers, while collaborating with experienced machinists and engineers to produce high-quality components.

What You'll Do:
